19TH ANNUAL
BENEFIT GOLF TOURNAMENT

APRIL 20th, 2013

 

Big Nose Kate's Saloon once again sponsored our 19th annual benefit golf tournament on April 20, 2013. Tee off was at 8:30 AM at the Turquoise Valley Golf Course in Naco, Arizona.

 

We had an exciting partnership with Dixon Golf this year, and some special perks were available to the golfers. Read more about it!

This year's tournament will again benefit "The House of Hope", a 24 bed facility for battered women and children, located in Douglas, Arizona. As you might remember, "The House of Hope" opened in December of 1997 and serves as a haven for battered women and their children, open 24 hours a day. They also help the homeless and they have out-of-shelter counseling and a crisis hotline.

TOMBSTONE ROSE FESTIVAL

APRIL 5 - 7, 2013

 

Spring will soon be here and celebrating the blooming of the Tombstone Rose Tree with a parade and festival is a great way to welcome the season. The Lady Banksia Rose arrived from Scotland in 1885 as a gift for a homesick bride. The cutting grew into the World's Largest Rose bush now boasting 9,000 square feet of foliage with millions of blossoms.

 

The Tombstone Rose Festival will show off the "softer side of Tombstone history".
